Negli inverni gelidi di Pechino, rifugiarsi in un ristorantino di 涮肉  ("carne risciacquata", cioe' carne cotta in una pignatta con acqua bollente aromatizzata e intinta poi in salsa di sesamo e altri odori) e' un piacere a cui difficilmente si puo' rinunciare, lasciando che il vapore che sale dalle pignatte ribollenti vi riscaldi lo stomaco e l'animo. Questa foto e' stata scattata su 鼓楼东大街 (Gulou Dong Dajie, Viale Est della Torre del Tamburo) nell'inverno del 2011.

During the icy cold Beijing winters, to seek solace in a little restaurant of 涮肉 (Shuanrou, literally "rinsed out meat", which is a kind of meat cooked with flavored boiling water  inside a pot and then dipped in a sauce made by sesame and other ingredients) is a pleasure very hard to give up, allowing the vapor coming up from the boiling pots to slowly warm up your stomach and soul.
